We live in a world where, unfortunately, one has to pay to be able to survive. People below the poverty line are been deprived off basic amenities not only nutritious food, healthcare, housing etc. but education and an equal opportunity to grow up above the line.

There are many an organizations who are supporting underprivileged by providing them food, clothing, healthcare etc. We at Council for Start-up India don’t wish to follow the conventional method of just supplying Alms, but we propose to change the ways world challenges the poverty. We intend to build a world based upon dignity by nurturing and honouring the poor with an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY to shape up their aptitude & attitude and transform them into a contributor for the future. We believe there is a huge gap between skills and capabilities that needs to be addressed. We are looking at the possible areas of improving employability and self-employability amongst the below poverty sect

The donations received would cater to the following areas

We aspire to provide low-income students and job seekers including slum dwellers with the training and tools they need to secure employment and succeed in building life long careers for themselves.

We will install low cost energy solutions using animal poop and building a sustainable model to bring clean energy to millions of low income and rural segments.

We will work to provide them Self-Employability schemes at their door steps.

We will be supporting the low income farmers with technology to improve yields and better crop facilities.

We aim to provide skills training and vocational education to elevate millions of India’s informal labours out of poverty.

We extend to funding uneducated women by providing employability and self-employability skills like tailoring, beautician, costume jewellery designing, wellness training and other errand jobs skills set, to make them self-reliant.

Council for Start-up India believes that supporting start-ups and working towards job creation alone can’t solve the problem of poverty or un-employability. A large number of population is not formally educated and are forced to continue living under poverty in India. We plan to bridge the gap by equipping them with skills and trainings needed. We would like to use these donations to uplift the slums and underprivileged uneducated sectors by holding their hands from early stage investments to validate their assumptions/idea, bring products and services to market and begin to scale. We wish to provide these start-ups with a flexibility and security to grow their businesses sustainably in the long run with accountability in the form of a return of investment.
