A. Ravi have over 3 decades experience in leading Corporates, viz., Canbank Financial Services Limited (1986 -1992 - Advisory Services), GE Shipping (1992-1995- General Manager, Finance), HCC (1995-1997 - VP, Finance), RIL (1997- 2010-President, Corporate Finance), GTL Infra (Dec 2010 – July 2011, CEO & Whole time Director) and Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (July 2011 to January 2018).
He initiated the setting up of the 4G telecom project of Reliance Jio Infocomm in the State of Karnataka and was the State Sponsor until January 2018.
He spearheaded mega financial closures for a wide array of businesses, ranging from Construction, Infrastructure (Shipping, Power, Ports, SEZ’s) to Petroleum Refinery, Gas Transportation to Telecom. He also acquired considerable expertise in legal aspects of Project Financing.
He headed as Project and State Head for three Greenfield projects in the State of Karnataka from start to completion viz., Reliance Communications Limited a CDMA telecom project, Reliance Petroleum Retail Outlets and Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited. This includes Government liaison, approvals, real estate acquisition, legal, construction, contract management and overall project coordination.
As a recognition to his contribution , the Government of Karnataka appointed him, on two occasions, as a Member of “Vision Group of Industries” constituted under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka.
